How QLD CPD works (Your responsibilities)

  1. Check your CPD year. It doesn’t start the same day for everyone — it’s tied to your licence/registration issue date. Use the OFT CPD Year Calculator to confirm exactly when your 12-month CPD window begins and ends.
  2. Complete 2 approved sessions. Keep it simple with 2 ‘Type 1’ sessions (our recommendation and what we offer). You can also complete 1 ‘Type 1’ session with us and 1 ‘Type 2’ session with another provider if you wish.

  3. Keep your proof. You’ll receive a certificate for each session. Keep it for 5 years in case OFT requests it. (We store a copy in your Student Portal for easy download.)

Choose the delivery mode that suits you:

  • Option 1 Online (Live): $125 per student (incl. GST) includes 1 ‘Type 1’ subject.

  • Option 3 Face-to-Face at your office: $1800 for the whole office.

What Our Students Have To Say

Frequently Asked Questions For Real Estate CPD QLD

Is CPD mandatory in QLD?

Yes. If you hold a relevant licence/registration (e.g., real estate agent, salesperson/property manager, auctioneer, resident letting agent), you must complete 2 approved sessions in your CPD year to remain eligible to renew.

When does my CPD year start and finish?

It’s unique to you — based on your licence/registration issue date. Use the OFT CPD Year Calculator to check your exact 12-month window.

Do I need ‘points’?

Queensland’s framework is session-based, not points-based. You complete 2 approved ‘Type 1’ sessions per CPD year.

Can I do 1 ‘Type 1’ session with you and 1 ‘Type 2’ session with another provider ?

Yes, but to keep it simple we recommend 2 ‘Type 1’ sessions with the same provider.

How long do I keep my records?

Keep your proof of completion (e.g., certificate) for 5 years and provide it to OFT if requested. We store your certificate in your Student Portal for easy access.

What if I’m brand-new or my licence was deactivated?

Some exemptions apply (e.g., first CPD year starts 12 months after your current licence/registration issue date; deactivated for most of the year, etc.). See OFT’s exemptions list for details.
