Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning is an acknowledgement of your current skills and knowledge that you have obtained through formal/informal training and on-the-job/work experience against each unit in a qualification. RPL is a time-saver for you!
An RPL assessment can result in partial or full recognition of several units of competency or a full qualification of your chosen course.
If you consider you are already competent in specific units of competency from your chosen course, you may be eligible to be granted an exemption if:
Please see our RPL Evidence Guide by Click Here!
Our RPL Kit will be provided to an applicant, which includes five easy steps to gauge eligibility and suitability:
Step 1 – Interview for RPL: When an applicant decides to apply for RPL, Connect Skills Institute will conduct an RPL suitability assessment through an interview, either by phone or in person. The interview link will be provided for booking once the application is activated.
Step 2 – You have completed your RPL interview, and you will receive an email from our assessor within two business days of your interview, containing an RPL Kit in PDF format, examples of evidence types, the next steps, and an RPL review link to track the application’s progress.
Step 3 – You will begin to complete required documents and gather as much evidence as you can to support your RPL application.
Step 4 – Upload all documents to the RPL claim via the student portal.
Step 5 – Submit your RPL claim for assessment and our team will begin reviewing and processing your outcome.
The granting of RPL may shorten the course duration. Successful applicants will be notified, and they will then complete the remaining units to complete their course.
